Paper fans for weddings, in white or colour
Our paper fans fold on the same bamboo sticks as the fabric ones, natural or black, 21 cm (8.3 in) or 23 cm (9 in) long. White paper fans with a single ink colour are the classic look, and the paper also comes in ivory, yellows, pinks, blues, greens and black. Paper is the one you can print on both sides: your names and design on the front, and on the back, if you like, a thank-you or a few words for your guests. Fabric is softer and lasts longer, printed on the front only. Wooden fans, printed or cut out, are made on request.
Fan and ink colours
Fan: white, ivory, pale yellow, mustard, orange, red, pink, fuchsia, mauve, lavender, sky blue, teal, seafoam, green, lime green, black, burgundy, blush pink, purple, aubergine, azure blue, turquoise, navy blue, sage green. Ink: black, white, gold, silver, navy blue, burgundy, sage green, terracotta, blush pink. Choose the fan colour the way you would choose your invitation paper, and the ink like a signature. For a garden wedding in spring, look at Wildflowers, Peonies, Vintage Roses or Eucalyptus.
Printing and engraving
The design and your text are printed in a single ink colour, for a crisp line. Gold and silver are hot-foil stamped and catch the light. As an option, text laser-engraved on the outer guard, with no ink: it rests in the palm of the hand and never wears off.
How many wedding fans for your guests, and what do they cost in bulk?
One fan per guest, plus 10% for last-minute additions. Prices in Australian dollars for fabric fans with no extras, excluding GST, with the 10% online discount and shipping within Australia included.

Wedding Fans is a small wedding stationery house, not a marketplace. We draw the designs, prepare every proof and check it before sending it to you. You write to a real person, by email or WhatsApp, and that same person writes back.
Wedding fans for guests, and as wedding favours
Spring and autumn are the busiest wedding seasons, and an outdoor ceremony in October or March can still be warm; in the heat of summer, a fan on every chair is a real kindness. Lay them out before the ceremony: your guests find one as they sit down, and the first thing they do is open it. For pre-dinner drinks in the sun, a basket by the entrance with a small "help yourself" sign is all you need. At the reception, tucked beside each place setting in its bag, it becomes the favour everyone takes home.

What are the best wedding fans for a summer wedding?
Folding bamboo fans: light, sturdy and easy to slip into a bag once the ceremony is over. We make two kinds, on natural or black bamboo, 21 cm (8.3 in) or 23 cm (9 in) long. Paper is the lightest and is printed on both sides, so a note can wait for your guests on the back. Fabric is softer and lasts longer, printed on the front. For a hot outdoor ceremony, either one does the job; choose by the look you want and your budget. Wooden, lace or organza fans are made on request.
How much do wedding fans cost?
For 100 fabric fans with no extras, $4.99 excl. GST each excluding GST, with the online order discount. The price drops as the quantity grows, from $8.72 excl. GST between 50 and 99 fans to $3.08 excl. GST from 800 fans. Engraving, tassel, cord and bags are added per fan, and the designer shows the exact total straight away, shipping included.
What is the minimum order for personalised wedding fans?
50 fans. Order from 50 to 1,000 fans online, all printed with your names, and the price per fan goes down at each tier. You receive a free proof within 24 business hours, before anything is made. For a larger quantity or several designs at one wedding, tell us about your project.
Can we use our own wording, a logo, or order wooden fans?
Yes. The three lines of text are yours to write, and each one is optional: names, date, venue, a short phrase. For a logo, a monogram, a wooden or lace fan, describe your project and we reply within 24 business hours with a quote.
Should every wedding guest get a fan?
Yes, if you want the fans to work as wedding favours: one per guest, plus about 10% for last-minute additions. For 120 guests, that means around 132 fans. Lay one on every chair for the ceremony, or by each place setting at the reception. The bride's fan can stand apart with a detail: black bamboo, another fan colour, or text laser-engraved on the outer stick.
How does payment work?
Whichever way suits you. Pay by card when you order, and production still waits for your approval of the proof. Or pay nothing yet: the proof is free and comes with no obligation, and you pay once you approve it, by card (secure link) or bank transfer. Either way, nothing is made without your written approval.
Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?
Across Australia and to many other countries, by tracked courier. Shipping depends on the quantity: $37.95 up to 99 fans, $69.30 up to 199, $103.95 up to 499, $202.95 up to 1,000 (excl. GST). You see it in the designer total, then on your proof. Order six to eight weeks before the wedding and you can relax.
What if there's a typo in our names?
That's exactly what the proof is for. You get it before anything is made, with two rounds of changes included: read the names, the date and the phrase again with fresh eyes. Beyond that, we talk it over before charging anything. A typo left on an approved proof can't be reprinted free of charge.
